IoT Guides & TutorialsDecember 20, 2022

TCL Roku TVs are popularly known to be one of the most budget-friendly Smart TVs on the market. However, many users have reported issues with the TCL Roku TV blinking light problem. A TV not turning on, sudden power loss, or flickering backlight can all be indicative of this issue.

The problem can be resolved with a few simple fixes. In this blog, we will discuss the causes of the TCL Roku TV blinking light issues and offer some tips for resolving the problem.

1. Defective Backlight

A defective backlight can be caused by a faulty or failing LED strip or lamp or by a faulty power supply. If your smart TV is experiencing a blinking light issue, it’s likely due to a defective backlight. In this case, the best course of action is to replace the defective LED strip, LED lamp, or faulty power supply.

2. Outdated TCL TV Model

Another common cause of the TCL Roku TV blinking light issue is an outdated TV model. Many older TV models are not compatible with the latest Roku software, which can cause the TV to experience a blinking light issue. To resolve this issue, you can try updating the TCL TV’s software to the latest version.

3. Disconnected Remote

If the remote is not connected to the TV, it can cause the TV to experience a blinking light issue. You can reconnect the remote to the TV to settle this issue. Additionally, you can also try replacing the batteries in the remote, as this can sometimes help resolve the issue.

4. Broadband Or Ethernet Cable Issues

If you notice that your TCL Roku TV is blinking more frequently than usual, it may be an indication that there is a problem with the connection between your TV and the internet. To fix this issue, you will need to ensure that the cables are properly connected and that the router is functioning correctly.

5. TV Requires Power Cycle

A power cycle means totally cutting off the power connection to your TV. If the TV requires a power cycle, the simplest way to do this is to unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and wait for a few minutes. After a few minutes, plug the cord back in and switch the TV on. This should resolve the issue.

6. TCL TV Needs To Be Reset

Finally, if you are experiencing blinking light issues with your TCL Roku TV, you may need to reset the TV. This can be done by going to the Settings menu and selecting the “Reset” option. This will restore the TV to its default settings and should fix any blinking light issues you are experiencing.

You may also find the physical reset button and hold it for 10 to 15 seconds. If the blinking persists, you may do these manual resets three to four times.

Blinking light issues are one of the most common problems with TCL Roku TVs. Fortunately, there are some simple solutions to fix these issues. By following these tips, you can bring your TCL Roku TV back into its best condition.
